January 2023 – Stilton
A blooming cold day greeted the Pheasants on the first walk of the 2023 season. All wrapped up, and with Andy’s “Circular walks” Christmas present put to good use we were underway. The Stick of Destiny was tested in breaking up ice at a water trough for the sheep to drink from, while along the way we stumbled across a large running event and stopped at times to watch the shivering participants. The Bell Inn provided the opportunity to buy Stilton cheese while the details for the May walk event in the Peak District were thrashed out.
