The pheasants nearly started on time for the last walk of the year, and despite being cold the flock kept up a blistering pace over the wetlands of Thornham and along the beach.
Stopping only for cheese and bacon turnovers cooked by pheasant Andy, the intrepid team arrived back in under three hours, having sampled the local deli and displayed their athletic prowess on an outdoor gym. A helicopter taking off from a nearby field provided further entertainment.
