Wow, what a year for the Dead Pheasants 2023 was, with another 11 walks completed, covering 149km in total and 38km more than the previous year. Everyone equalled or bettered their PBs from 2022 and attendance was generally good throughout the year, although only one walk managed to attract the full flock. Starting in Stilton and ending in Thornham, the pheasants covered large swathes of Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire along the way. This year saw a number of new firsts, especially with the Pheasant away weekend in May to Derbyshire, which was a great success and had fantastic weather as well. The location of Lowfield Farm was inspired and all pheasants enjoyed the hot tub, local pubs and the environs around Middleton. The year also saw the start of the Camino de Pheasant, as we started the mammoth job of tackling the London to Walsingham pilgrimage route, comprising 13 stages.
