July 2024 – Dalham
The pheasants returned to the familiar territory of Dalham and the chance to take on a new route in the only direction yet to be explored. Inadvertently timed to coincide with a local race, the flock headed out on the five churches walk with a steely determination to locate the first church, a supposed ruin, and failed. The rest of the walk was a series of deja vu as they kept passing the same runners over and again at regular intervals. All that remained on a hot day was for Bryan to hit the jackpot with two free pints from the pub’s landlord.
